As a pop music critic I have appeared, among other places, on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered and All Songs Considered, KPCC’s Offramp, and Jonesy’s Jukebox, hosted by Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones.
As L.A. Weekly Music Editor, I hosted a weekly show/podcast on the late, beloved pirate and internet station Little Radio (also home to shows by many marvelous people, including the late, beloved Beastie Boys). The show was tied to my column in the LA Weekly, “Rock & Roll Love Letter.”
For several years I was host, writer, and coproducer of Pop Vultures, a groundbreaking public radio show. Pop Vultures ran on public radio stations nationwide including KUOW (Seattle), WXPN (Philadelphia), KNOW (Twin Cities). We were awarded the Zeitfunk Most-Licensed Series Award from PRX, the Public Radio Exchange. For more info, see my Pop Vultures page.
I am now developing my own music-related podcast.
Stay tuned!
