• Wrote extensively for Spin, as well as Rolling Stone, Teen People, Seventeen, Nerve, Los Angeles Magazine, City Pages, Blender, and the New York Times Magazine

• Anthologized in the Da Capo Best Music Writing Series, edited by Jonathan Lethem, as well as in Dreams and Inward Journeys, a collection of essays on the self compiled by Stanford University professors Marjorie and John Ford.

• Nightlife columnist (“Hot Child in the City”) for the L.A. New Times

• Staff music critic for the St. Paul Pioneer Press

• Theater and film critic for City Pages (Twin Cities)

• Began journalistic career at Prognosis, the first post-Revolutionary English-language newspaper in Prague, in the early 1990s.
